Replaced the lamp,that the first thing u do.MIght solved ur problem or u still have to deal with power supply board problems too.

While we were watching Sony KF60WE610 TV suddenly a loud noise came from the back of the TV,. Sound and picture were gone, and the red light started blinking. We waited 2 minutes and turn on the TV . Sound...


Tv now,have a LED light indication "LAMP" on the frame are blinking or flashing.Metallic sound are clicking noises?Yes,sound like the board that call the Ballast board it is dead.This Ballast board only job are to ignite the tv projection lamp only.U have some mechanicals skills like take things aparts and putting it back together again?Yes,tries websites like Partstore.com,Ebay.com to buy a new Ballast board for the replacement.The tv projection lamp might have to be replacement change too,because,when the Ballast board has died and exploded the voltages and current high voltages could have more than the tv projection lamp now could take.

If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast.It's major symptoms are clicking,electrical sounds,shuts off and on and get the lamp indicator.But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs,It's major symptoms are clicking,electrical sounds,shuts off and on and get the lamp indicator, it could be time to replace the lamp.

Has Sound but no Picture and shuts down


I have the same tv and the same problem happened to me (Actualy twice). It turned out to be the color wheel motor. thats what the clicking noise is.
