SOURCE: Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.

SOURCE: cub cadet riding mower blade won't turn on

If the click you hear is the electric PTO engaging, then your deck belt is broken or off a pulley some where. Check the belt & then clarify if needed

Cub Cadet CC 760 33" walk behind, and I removed and cleaned the carburetor, but for heavens sake I cannot seem to figure out how to re-attach the link governer to the bracket control and carburetor.

You will need to remove the carb first as the choke link must go on the carb first then attach the governor link to the carb along with the tension spring on the governor link then slide the choke link into the slot on the backside of the control bracket. The pic of the link you show is the choke link. I do this all the time but it's hard to write it down. Hope this will help you.

Cub cadet ltx1042kw the blades will not engage

Either the pto is not engaging or you missed routed the deck belt. Google your model number and you should get a link where you can see the correct belt routing.

Got a new cub cadet cc 720 es when I engage the drive belts it makes a squeak/rattle noise from the front deck, took off the top and can not seems to pinpoint the source of the noise.

A lot of hydrostatic rotary mowers squeal when u engage the PTO (blades) even when properly maintained or even factory new ev like the toro groundsmaster which is top of the line in its style of mowers. At the shop at work we think it's due to a change in the angle of stress from the floating deck. Nothing to worry about. Just make sure that you completely drop the deck before you engage the blade drive.

How to replace mower belt for ZTR cub cadet mower

Changing the Blade Drive Belts:
a.Set the parking brake. Remove ignition key and both spark plug caps.
b.Unscrew the wing nuts from the deck covers and remove both covers.
c.Using a 3/8" socket breaker bar or socket ratchet insert the drive end into the 3/8" square opening in the lower idler arm assembly and push the idler arm counterclockwise. While holding the idler arm back, loosen the blade drive belt from the pulley and slide the belt away from the pulley.
d.Remove tension of the PTO belt by moving the belt tensioning rod. Loosen the belt retaining bolt.
e.Pull the tensioner pulley away from the belt and remove the PTO belt then remove the blade drive belt.
f.Reverse the process to install the belt.

Have you tried running it with the blade back on? It may be ok as there is a braking system built into the pto clutch that makes the blades hard to turn by hand. Regards Phil
