The door handle can easily be replaced on MOST microwave ovens by removing the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to access and replace the door handle:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3696942-microwave_oven_door_handle_replacement

The average cost for a replacement handle usually runs about $20 - $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided.
The door handle is a simple repair that can be done with the door in place, or removed. And, you do not have to uninstall the oven if this is an over the range model.

It would help, however, to know what brand and model microwave oven you are referring to. All ovens are not designed the same and are assembled in different ways. What I have provided you with is the basic information that applies to most microwave ovens. If you have any questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you

How to replace the door handle on a whirlpool MH2155XPQ micro wave

The screws that hold on the handle are inside the door assembly. Here is the way its done but its not for the average person. On the inside of the door is a plastic frame all the way around the door. It is held in place by plastic tabs. You have to gently pry off that frame with something like a putty knife or small screw driver. If you are not careful you end up breaking off some of the tabs. Once that frame is off you should have access to the 2 screws holding on the handle. Remove screws---replace handle---and push plastic frame back on.

Broken micro wave handle

On most brands, normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

To find Danby parts, refer to your owner's manual or contact the dealer from whom you bought the oven for Danby's contact information.

How to replace the door handle on a mod. MH 1170XSY-0 mico wave

To access the door handle mounting screws on MOST microwave ovens, you have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. You can use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the plastic up and work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass. Most microwave ovens also have grooves in the panel that you can insert the screwdriver into. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that prevents harmful microwaves from potentially harming the consumer. If you break the glass, you will need to purchase a new door.

The door handle screws are located behind the inner panel. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel carefully and gradually work your way around the perimeter of the door glass and make sure it snaps back into place.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Bottom part of door to micro-wave is broken, where the class part of the door is held in place. Is there any place that sells the door and not the whole micro-wave? this is a GE spacesaver.

You should be able to replace just the affected door panel and save money as well as the hassle of complicated door alignment and leakage tests.

This is the door latch, and replacing it is not a bad job for a do-it-yourselfer, in case you or someone you know may want to do it.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see how you can replace the broken door latch. (Don't lose the spring!)

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's opened.

If you don't want to do it yourself, you can find your nearest Jenn-Air / Maytag-authorized servicer here.

They generally charge about $75 to visit the home, $75-90 to do the repair work, and the part may run about $15 or so. If nothing else, you can save about $75 by taking it to the shop yourself.

I'd suggest a helper for that task, and you can download installation instructions here.

Advantium micro wave

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a loose or misaligned door hinge.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. Other times, it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There may also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
