Question about Televison & Video
I am trying to update the software in a standard set top box. I have the software on the computer and have brought the correct adaptor with 9 pin that gos to the stb and usb to the computer. I cant get the software to transfer. It is ment to start on it own once I turn the stb on but it will not. I have the software all ready and connect to the stb. I press start and then turn the stb on but nothing happens. I am following the instruction that are written for the software. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong
This may not be the correct adapter.Pin outs may not be correct.
Call the manufacturer and talk to tech support and verify the correct adapter and pin out for this unit.

Ensure that you have extracted the contents of the firmware from the exe self extractor or zip archive. Another possibility is that you probably have the software contents in a folder. It should be in the drive directly as files. For example your USB drive is G and its in G:\update\update.bin
then move it to G;\Update.bin
