Question about Freezers

Fridge/freezer not working

My beko fridge/freezer defrosted itself, now it won't freeze properly! It has a light film of frost on the pipes and shelves but isn't enough to freeze water. We turned it off for 24 hrs to defrost it properly and when turned back on it's making a bubbling noise but still not freezing properly. The fridge is working but not as it should, iv had to turn the thermostat up to 4 to get it cold enough to keep my milk fresh.

Fridge freezer problem

Sounds like the defrost system of your freezer is not working. It could be either the defrost timer, defrost thermostat or the heater has a problem. The defrost timer turns off the compressor periodically to sent power to the defrost heater via the thermostat. The defrost heater then powers up and heats the evaporator coil to melt the accumulated ice buildup on the cold coils. Most likely issues are that the timer motor is not advancing the timer or the heater itself has burned out.

Our BEKO AP930 fridge freezer ice maker stopped working and we replaced the ice sensor but now the water dispenser isn't working. pipes connected correctly and there is a water suppky, Any ideas??

i had a similar problem with mine and the advice i got(possibly on here) was to leave the freezer door open to let the water supply pipe in the door defrost, put some blankets/ towels in the freezer to stop the
food defrosting,it worked for me and only took about 10 mins.

have you checked the door seals, if it has split it won`t freeze 100% as warm air will get in and keep the temperature up, bit like leaving the door slowly open hth

BEKO Frost free freezer not as cold as it should be!

Sorry I don't have a solution for you, however would like to know if you found out what was wrong. I have an identical problem with my Beko fridge/freezer. It's only 14 months old and the freezer just wont freeze. I've turn it off for 24 hour and let it defrost completely (even had the panel off to make sure there was no ice left). I've turned it back on again and it still wont freeze. Everything seems ok, ie fan blowing, motor running etc. I really am beginning to regret buying Beko. thanks

Ice/frost build up inside the freezer

You have a defrost problem. The coils freeze up behind the freezer wall and the air does not flow properly. Replace the heater, defrost timer, and thermostat. get me the model number and i will give you the part numbers so you can order the parts.

Power on but fridge/freezer not working (only lights)

Yes, boards may need replacing, but not at the expense of the door, apparantly your "engineer" would rather work on older models that may require a hammer. Best advice would be given knowing the make and model number of your unit. A professional should be able to diagnose the board processes as well as the compressor in a short amount of time. Check the defrost heater (after pwr is restored to unit) for the freezer side (placement depending upon model) for continuity (basically a heating element for the evaporator coils - which will freeze without defrost). Proper defrost will help lessen the load on the compressor. Check the overload relay on the compressor itself for failure and replacement of relay. Have the unit defrosted, svc defrost htr, thermostats/thermolinks , compressor, before checking computer board operations.
