Question about Bosch Classixx WVF 2402 Front Load Washer/Dryer

2 Answers

My WVF 2402 washer/dryer washes clothes ok but doesn't dry them.

When the washing cycle ends the dryer doesn't start drying. The heater doesn't come on, the drum just continues going round and the drying time dial doesn't count down.
It also doesn't work when just set to dry.
Are there two heating elements in this machine, one for the washing cycle and one for the dryer?

Thanks. I haven't actually taken the machine apart yet - it's in a fitted kitchen and getting the thing out to inspect it looks like it's going to be a pain. Can you suggest the best way to access the components mentioned ie side/top/rear panel removal?

Brand new Bosch WVD 24520 W/D dryer does not work, or heat up whether on auto setting or other dryer programme setting. The drum does turn and diplay is on, but after 3 minutes the drum stops and there is no heat. I would be very grateful to know what could be the problem. Washes fine!

Sorry I'm way late with this but I've only just noticed it. Unplug the machine from the mains! Remove the lid (with a torx screwdriver) and you'll notice a small circular device with 2 leads attached on the top of the machine, in the centre there's a small button, press it and it should click......you've fixed it This is a thermal cutout safety device designed to switch the drying heater off if it becomes too hot. The probable cause for this is that you've over filled the machine and the air didn't circulate freely. as a rule of thumb, dry 1/2 as many clothes as you wash.

Yes, there are two heaters, one for heating water and another one for drying, you need to check if the heater is OK. also there is a temeratrure controller, which may be defective or the blower..

Bosch classixx wvf 2402 at the end of the dry spinning cycle, 5-6 minutes the machine makes a terrible noise. What could this be?

Can you describe the noise? Is everything else working normally? From what you are saying, my guess at this point would be that the pulley on the motor is working loose.

Bosch classixx wash and dry - washing machine works fine but dryer does not start and door light does not go out?

if the door light is not going out it is an indication that the door switch is not working. this would also cause it to not run because it thinks the door is still open.

My Bosch Classixx washer dryer has stopped drying and the clothes come out steaming hot and steam escapes from the powder drawer during the drying cycle. I have had an engineer out and he says the airflow...

if you have a very large load of clothes in the machine on the dry cycle, what tends to happen is that the clothes are not flapping around in the drum loosely but they are going around the drum in a big mass, with the result that they just get very very hot and steam will escape out the soapbox draw. When this happens, heater unit that becomes overheated ant the thermostats will eventualy cut out resulting in cold air being circulated instead of hot. You will need to have them replaced again. when replaced, put on a drycycle with only a few garments in the machine and you will see a big difference in it perfomance. washer/dryers are not very effective on the drying cycles with a full washload.

Go to the Bosch website and down-load the operation manual. If it's not on the site, 'phone their customer service number and they'll send you one gratis - they did for my WVF-2402.

Bosch WVF 2402 Washer Drier Steam Problem

Hello All

Problem solved by clearing out the condensate container which on inspection was full of dried up fluff and dead tissues! This is not a ****that is mentioned in the manual and access to the bin is pretty tricky so I suspect there are lots of machines out there with the same problem waiting to happen.

Access was gained by taking the top of the machine off, removing the dryer motor and then scraping out the muck using a wire coathanger and a vacuum cleaner.

Many thanks

Spin dry not working at times, clothes are very wet

hello nordic sounds as if you have a intermitant pump problem . i.e blockage . disconect from mains - remove pump - dismantle pump look for obstructions. also check waste hose as they tend to block fairly easily when machine is used mostly on a low temp wash . good luck

Why wont my machine start drying?

I called Whirlpool on 08706008989. The machine can only dry half a load of washing at a time. At the end of the washing cycle, the Programme dial should be at either the sun or half sun symbol. Remove half the washing, set the drying time via the drying time dial and press the 1/2 Load Dryer button - Voila dry clothes!
