Blinking ''comp'' light and unit unresponsive

"comp" light blinking. Unit unresponsive to buttons on panels

The blinking "Comp" light issue with this unit and several other similar Sunpentown Portable AC units is - the water tray is full and requires draining. The drain plug is found at the bottom on the backside of the unit.
These units have a water tray that is used to blow cool air to increase the unit's efficiency by decreasing the need for compressor cycles. This tray can get full and needs to be drained occasionally esp. in humid conditions.

Thank you for responding to my query.

Without knowing that brand of unit as i don't think they are sold in Australia, I think that the system will have lost its' gas charge. If you remove the small nut cap where the gas pipes enter the outside unit and depress the Schroeder valve, and you have little or no pressure released, then you have a leak on the system.

Sharp Aquos LC45GX6U & TU-GD10U. The unit doesn't power up, and has a red blinking light from the moment you plug it in. The unit works fine in service mode.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Blinking lights, unresponsive

I went to the Maytag site looking for a manual. None existed for my model, but I looked up won't start under the FAQs. The advice said to push the cancel button twice. My model doesn't have one, so I just started at the left side of the control panel and pushed each button twice. pushing the dry button twice made the lights stop blinking. i pushed the wash button and the unit started.

Hitachi 50v500 tv lamp light blinking no picture

I have one of these units, if the light is blinking and no picture as you have stated then you will need to replace the bulb in the unit. it is contained in the front of the unit behind the front panel on the right, you would remove the front panel after unplugging the unit, remove the single screw and pull out the box. replace it and then reverse the proces. the bulbs can be obtained for about $130.00 to $200.00 depending on where you get it from. Shop around.

To help you better , could you let me know , when the system goes into sleep mode, the power light in the front of the tower is it amber or blinking amber or is it of some other color.

If the power button is blinking amber , the power supply on the unit is going bad.

Blinking small red light.

I had that problem, it is the filetr reminder. I used Reverse Osmosis water so I dont use a =fileter, but the machine doesn't know that. If I recall the manual was wrong on which button to push an hold. I dont remember which was was right (could be the steam button). but one of them does make the light go out in about 5-10 sec.
