First make a check that wheter your audio driver is missing or not.

But before making the test, I will suggest you to check your master volume. you might accedently muted it or made very low volume.

Ok, make this test for checking the missing driver.

Step 1). Start -> Control Panel and double click on System icon
........... it will open System Properties window

Step 2). Click on Hardware and then Device Manager
........... it will open Device Manager window.

Carefully see in this window, if you found any component with an icon of Yellow color, it means you have missing driver. And you have to install it for work properly.

So if this is the case of you i.e. missing driver, re-install it, it will fix your problem.

Thanks
Iqbal

Sound driver unistall and how to restore sound driver

Go to Control panel > Add Remove programs (locate the audio driver installation) > click Uninstall (Remove).
The presently installed audio driver will be removed from the system.
Reboot the System
Right-Click 'My Computer' icon.
Click 'Properties'.
Click 'Device Manager'
Click on 'Sound and Game controllers'
Right click 'Audio device'
Select 'Update Driver'
That's all. The audio driver will be re-installed. If you have the Driver CD of the audio card, just put it into CD driver, before doing this. If you have internet connection, connect it too. If so, the system will audo-search for the audio device, and will install it automatically either from the O/S, CD Rom or by internet. [Before doing all of this, connect the system to internet, Insert the Audio Driver CD in the CD Rom (if you have it]

Hi I have an HP G60- 120EM laptop. Whenever I use headphones the sound still plays through the laptops speakers, I think I may have accidentally deleted the audio driver. How could I replace this and which...

That's an easy fix. :)

First of all, go to the HP site, and their support area. Then enter the model of your notebook (or whatever device number they ask for). This should show you a list of all drivers, software, etc for your notebook.

Find the audio driver for your OS, and simply install it.

Although I recommend to first check if the OS thinks it's still installed. I don't know which OS you're using (Better make it not Windows 8! ;), but in general, it's somewhere under "System settings => Software" or "Control panel => Add/remove programs" or something like that.

Now... and this is important... it should have installed some kind of audio control panel. Maybe it is already running in the system tray.
(Not your operating system's native one. The driver usually has a special one that knows the insides of your audio chip much better.)

Go through all the settings in there. It's pretty sure that there is a configuration for that. But if you're lucky, it will already work as intended, just like that. (Still, it's never bad to know what you can do with it. Maybe you even discover some cool feature you didn't even know was available. :)

Hi!, im a beginner in computer can you help to fix my problem?when i install my audio its always failed..if you say that i need to remove the "windows UAA bus driver" where or how do i find it?

Go to the DEVICE MANAGER from Control panel, then go down to the AUDIO, section and remove and delete driver there, also check your ADD/REMOVE programs, and if there, delete it too. Then go to your manufactures website and download the latest Audio driver for your motherboard and Operating system. Always install as Administrator.

Try switching audo devices in control panel. If that doesn't work you must use system recovery disks provided when you bought your laptop.

Download it off the Acer website and it should restore it. Or you can try and find the cd that came with it. It should have the drivers on it.
