Of course it will damage your MP3 Player. Please use specific charger comes with MP3 players box to charge it. Other charger will damage your mp3 player & it will stop working.

Thanks.
Happy to help you.

How do I re charge battery with electrical plug

To charge the battery using your computer:
Connect iPod shuffle to a high-power USB port on your computer using the included iPod shuffle Dock. The computer must be turned on and not in sleep mode (some models of Macintosh can charge iPod shuffle while in sleep mode). When the battery is charging, the status light on iPod shuffle is orange. When the battery is fully charged, the status light turns green.
If you don't see the status light, iPod shuffle might not be connected to a high-power USB port. Try another USB port on your computer.

To charge the battery using an iPod USB Power Adapter If you do not have then you have to buy the same from Apple Store) 1 Connect the AC plug adapter to the power adapter (they might already be connected). 2 Plug the USB connector of the iPod shuffle Dock into the power adapter. 3 Plug the power adapter into a working electrical outlet. 4 Put iPod shuffle in the dock. You can disconnect and use iPod shuffle before it is fully charged.

I have mp3 player EMP516-2 with no cord

You can buy a USB cord at Walmart or any other retail store like it. Except for the iPod all other mp3 players have a universal plug on them to be able to charge it or download music. If you buy one of these USB cords, you can then plug it into your computer to charge it and put music onto it. There is also a Plug in that has a USB slot which you can purchase if you choose not to plug it into your computer, but prefer to charge it on a regular 110 wall outlet.

Is not charging like at all

lol your mp3 lost its spirit. try plugging it into a regular wall plug in instead of the computer. finding a cord that will let you plug it into a wall plug in shouldnt be that hard to find, those mp3 players have a very common jack. if that doesn't work then your batter is probably shot or the wires broke.

Charger

You can use a regular Apple iPod outlet plug-in wall charger, and connect your USB cable to it, which allows your iRiver to charge regularly.

don't panic!

the same thing happens to mine! it sucks
until, i phoned up samsung..they said put it in the freezer. i know it sounds silly but by putting it in the freezer the cold air allows the electrical particles to become free due to the negative charge present. (i researched a lot) do it for 24 hours-25hours no more than that..press the reset button afterwards! mine totally worked normally again.
