Connecting audio to front of computor box from motherboard
Computer box has a cable with seven pins to conect to audio on back of motherboard spk r+l in r+l mic-in mic-vcc and gnd The audio connection is nine pin configoration.I have lost the motherboard manual i am not shaw how the seven go on the nine

And usually one of the NC pins is no pin as some USB cables have that
pin blanked out to ensure you connect them the right way. Note also
with USB you start with the VCC then you go straight to negative data,
then positive, then ground (again the - and + data bits, like the reset are in reverse of normal reading - the are right to left, not left to right!)
Finally if your not sure which cable is + and which is - the - ones are normally either black or white (most of them are white, except the speaker ones which are black - I presume that goes back to the colour scheme of red and black for positive and negative in audio equipment) and the + ones are normally some colour.
