Question about LG DLG0452W Gas Dryer

LG gas dryer DLG0452W drum makes a clicking noise

LG gas dryer DLG0452W makes a fairly loud clicking noise when the drum turns, even when empty, as if something is attached to the outside of the drum. I can hear the click go from the left side of the dryer to the right and back again, as the drum spins.

LG DLG0452W: Light inside the drum stays on even after closing the door tightly and dryer does not start. It flashes to check the lint tray but there isn't anything in there. HELP!!

If that light stays on I would say something definitely is wrong with the door safety lock mechanism. I have an LG dryer service manual that may help you: LG GAS& ELECTRIC DRYER repair manual

How do I get the back of a LG Dryer DLG0452W off?

You cannot get the back off. You work from the front.
Remove the top first by getting the rear screws off then remove the controls and top front brace then remove the drum glide then the take the belt loose and lift out the drum. You will now be able to examine the motor.

Lg dlg0452w no heat, gas comes on for first 30

Sounds like the coils on the gas valve itself done by the igniter. When they get weak they can only hold the gas valve open for a short time. If you leave it long enough does the igniter come on but the gas not light? That is a sure sign the coils are weak. Sometimes they will even make a clicking sound as they try to open. They are pretty cheap and nearly all dryers use the same coils. They are little black cylinders mounted on top of the valve. Let me know that doesn't make sense.
