Question about Philips Televison & Video
Firstly, my display continues to go black on the bottom half only. This usually only lasts for a few seconds up to 30 seconds. The Philips web site states that this can be corrected by a firmware upgrade. I found the firmware upgrade for my TV. I followed the instructions in the firmware release notes to the ''T''. I reformatted my thumb drive to FAT. I renamed the file to firmware_autorun.upg. I tried the manual install and the TV tells me there is no software on the device. So I reformatted the drive to FAT32 (just to be silly). Same issue. I have called Philips. They have no advice and no information as my TV is over 2 years old... Any suggestions?
Most likely you have the latest firmware on your tv. You can check the version somewhere in the menus but your problem most like can only be fixed by replacing the y-up and y-down buffers.
