The dash number of your serial number is the type.

Do you have a friend with a cover you can look at? The brake will need to be lached open (enlarged) to refit the clutch cover on your saw.

Detail A here is a good representation of a Husky chain brake, they are all similar and this may be helpful.

How to fix the throttle trigger lock on my poulan 2150

You will need to replace the trigger and throttle lock lever, they come as a pair part no. 530071305, to replace them you will need to drive out the two pins securing them in the back handle, you will also need to remove the throttle rod from the trigger.

Unable to release chain brake on Poulan 2150 2.1c.i. Unable to reassemble the chain brake cover.

You should have released the chain brake before removing the side cover. Try using a wide, heavy, flat-blade screwdriver to release the toggle mechanism for the brake in the outer cover which should expand the brake ring to allow it to go over the clutch drum. Hope this helps!

Poulan 550 Series push mower won't pull start

Hmmmm,,and the plot thickens. Without seeing the unit, i would have to think that when you pull the engine control cable bar, its not releasing the brake that sits against the flywheel. These cables do stretch. Pull the engine cover and you will see the brake against the flywheel. Pull the engine control handle and watch and see if brake is releasing. If its not, replace the cable.
That would be my bet. I hope this is of some help.

How do I reinstall the chain brake on my Poulan Wild Thing??

Find your model number add a LE suffix (i.e. if 2375 make it 2375LE) the "Handle, Chassis, and Bar Assembly" shows what detail is available. If not enough detail tell Poulan! Maybe it will improve for the next guy. If not happy with Poulan answer tell Husqvarna (parent company).
An entire new clutch cover (2375LE Type 2) item 36 pn545139903 is $19.43.

Installing fuel lines for, poulan 2150 16''

Find the model of your saw and open the IPL and handle assembly drawing here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
This is as good as fuel routing gets!!! If this isn't sufficient Find your nearest Poulan repair facility or try your friendly neighborhood chainsaw seller/mechanic. Resubmitting this question won't get any better answer. HTH

I have a poulan 18" chain saw. The safety band that goes around the clutch came off. Need info on how to put it back on

You don't list your model; There are probably over 100 to choose from. Find your model here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
Open the IPL. find the "Handle,Chasis and Bar Assembly" or similar page. That is the only drawing showing the chain brake parts. If you aren't able to repair it using that your options are to find your friendly neighborhood chainsaw shop or a new saw. HTH

Chain brake Assembly

A drawing of a Poulan Wildthing can be found here:

There are multiple drawings, this one may not be the correct one. The detail isn't very good but this is the best illustration for your saw. The "Handle, Chassis, and Bar Assembly" shows what is available. GL
