I have just installed a new motherboard in my computer. When I scroll it is very slow. There appears to be a wave like motion in the screen when it scrolls. I have a Xerox XG70D Model 780.

you need to install the drivers for your motherboard, for this issue it's the graphics driver. check on the laptop manufacturers website to identify and download the driver.

Waves when scrolling the internet

This problem of waves when scrolling the internet has a very simple solution. You are having this problem of display because you do not have the correct VGA (vodeo graphics adapter) driver installed on your PC for your VGA card. All you need to do install this driver and it will stop.

This is how. You have two approaches:-
1. Install the vga driver from the system board CD if you have it.
2. Go to start, right click on My Computer, select properties, click on the hardware tab, select device manager. Wait for the Device Manager to appear. Right click on display among the list of devices and click on "update driver." This secon procedure requires internet connnection.

Wave motion on screen

Two suggestions

!. Try changing your screen refresh rate. This might help.

2. Try turning off or unpluging any other equipment near the monitor like for example, fans, clocks, radios, etc.

Acer X193W Monitor / screen image

Check your video card drivers are installed correctly.
If unsure, the reinstall them again, it won't hurt the system and there are probably new drivers out for it anyway.

Wavy display issue ... please assist!

Plugged up display via the VGA cable to an HP dv6000 laptop; the Acer powered up and displayed fine ... however, noticed a faint waving motion in the picture, as if the screen was literally gel and began to wave, from top to bottom as it appeared. Best I can describe it ... any suggestions as to why? I only connected it to this HP to try it out, I ordered it from newegg and wanted to make sure pixels werent dead on arival. I will be getting an Aurora 7500 (Alienware): AMD X2 6000, Windows Vista Premium, 2GB RAM, GeForce 512 8800GT, SLI ready motherboard ... I heard good things of Acer and hoped this display would look great with my soon-to-come setup and im sure it will. However, just nervous it will do this on my Aurora. Any help or suggestions would be beyond appreciated!!

VIDEO ACCELERATOR NOT DETECTED

Sounds very much like a video driver issue. Most likely from the aspect that the video driver MAY not have compatibility with your reinstalled o/s. Look for the video driver option, under system then hardware configuration. You MAY need to remove that video from the list, then have the Plug and Play reinstall it. The driver is perhaps on the accessories disk you should have with your Dell.
