Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Power prloblem from standby it looks fine. when i power it up, it lights and then it goes out for a few seconds the back to standby

    Powerproblem with a Sony Minidisc MZ-RH1: it just cuts out the power on occassion - which makes it a very unreliable recorder? Any solutions?

    Hi, Sorry for my belated reply. Few things that may help sort out the problem for you.

    1. What make and model player

    2. is the fault occurring when it is tring to read a disc?

    3. is the unit on battery power when the problem occurs

    ok, without having much info, it sounds like you have a tired battery and it may not be holding charge. Does the unit work with the charger plugged in?

If wrong ac adaptor is used can this cause protected message, and can it be fixed?

Hard to say, but protected means protected. Minidiscs usually won't accept too much power ... unless you REALLY overdo it.

I have been there and I would think everything is fine. Just try it with the proper power.

Sounds like you are trying to put in too much power. Check that the mains adaptor matches the machine.

My Sony MZ-RH1 records in groups of few seconds maximum length of one track is up to one minute so it continously creates from one song tens of short tracks instead of one large track. can i reset the...

It's not clear if you're recording analog or digital or how volume is being managed.

Hi my program for MD is for Windows xp but I have vista.

What model MD do you have? Generally you need any audio input cable to your PC that has a miniplug on the end that goes into the MD. This is a direct audio transfer, in real time. There's no other way except for some Hi-MD models.

Wont turn on...

Try resetting the MP3 Player. Turn it on, connect to your computer, press and hold the play button for 10 seconds and disconnect from your computer. wait 5 seconds and connect back to your computer. When charging always leave the MP3 player in the on position.

Charge battery

Try resetting the MP3 player. turn it on, connect to your computer press and hold the play button for ten seconds. unplug it wait 10 seconds and plug it back to your computer. leave it charging for a couple of hours.

you may replace the battery, it is defective some chargeable batteries have a life span of 2years defending on the frequency of usage. you may change with the same specs although different brand as long the same output and input voltage

Batery type and number

i have the am-75 looks the same as the am-80 i have had a problem with charging the battery i was looking up this problem on the net and found there a few other people with the same problem went on to read and found that you can make a battery pack very easy just three aa rechargeble batterrys and a lead pluged in to the player will work so i tried this and now it works i can not find a replacement battery for my am-75 /am-80 any where

Deleting tracks

I 'm not sure I am on your wave length here Minidisc- if it is a commercial recording - you cannot delete tracks If it is a burned recording on a CD-R you cannot not delete tracks- well you can but you don't get the space back Look up the manufacturers web site and browse around for a manual download.
