That could be excess detergent causing the control to do extra washes to get rid of detected Suds. On these washers it is critical to use HE detergent and the right amount. Most often directions on detergent boxes are useless. This washer has a 3 phase motor with an inverter to change the current from 120 to 200 volts dc. If you continue to use wrong amounts of detergent the inline fuse will eventually blow from the motor overheating trying to correct overdose of detergent. Of course their could be other stuff happening. Read the service manual and feel free to ask away.

Detergent may not be the critical issue with this washer it could be in the shift mode solenoid or in the control.

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Maytag_lse7804ace: washer won't fill with water. If I fill it by hand, the cycle works fine (until it gets to the rinse cycle, when it won't fill again).

Hello John,
The most probable reason the washer is not filling is because of a blown fuse that is part of the lid switch asm. By UNPLUGGING THE WASHER and removing the 2 INNER screws on the the control panel and the control panel can be rotated down to see the fuse in the lid switch asm. Here is where the fuse is on the switch asm. its circled in red 11_4_2011_1_39_54_am.jpg

Hi

If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-

If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.

Washer seems to cycle fine but the water will over fill

Hello, fill the washing machine with water and when the water is about 1/2 full of water, unplug the washers power cord from the wall outlet.if the water keeps flowing into the washing machine with the power cord pulled the "fill valve"(where the hot and cold hoses are attached to the washer) has mechanically stuck open and will have to be replaced. if the water shuts off when you remove it's power cord from the wall outlet, try plugging the washer in and out a couple more times and if the water stops each time the fill valve indicates as being good.

Thanks

Washer trips circuit while filling tub

Sound like the inlet valve coil may be shorted. Remove console and check wires from water valve to control. If wires look ok, the inlet valve has a problem

The inlet valve will need to be replaced. Its a fairly simple procedure and a pretty inexpensive part.
