Yes normally its just small clips that are resealable used to hold it on as for maintenance it requires exposing the light bulbs

hope this helps

Remove the back lower cover first.........you should see a slide out board covering the light box.........slide that out and care fully reach up and around with your plastic long vacuum extention.......you can remove the top back cover, but be careful, because there is usually a mirror attatched to it,this will allow you to clean more thoroughly........be careful!

Mitsubishi VS50609 has cobwebs behind the ribbed screen and I need to know how to remove the ribbed screen, I already removed the clear cover smooth cover. Sandy

set should have the clear screen cover (protective) and two more screens behind that. Easy way is to unplug set and remove back cover--cobwebs are usually behind on inner screen.

With the back off I use a swiffer like duster and reach up and get them all out--gently on the inside of the inner screen so you do not scratch or mar it.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Clean behind the screen.

hey,
to packerfan. yesterday i did some thinking. i had the same problem w/ my toshiba 57". cobwebs in the viewing screen. i found the solution to be simple. take the front panel off. it's just held on by some clips. remove the black cardboard cover that protects the wiring. it's simple just w/ a screwdriver. attach a feather duster w/ duct tape to a 2 ft. dowel or longer if your arms are short.there are several places you can go up to dust. i found that if you clean 1/2 of the screen then the other 1/2 you should be done all tolled in about 10 mins. presto! my screen has never looked so good.too bad it's taken me 3 yrs. to figure it out. hope this solution works for you as great as it worked for me!!!
