Try to reduce tireine distance in the video settings

Posted on May 25, 2018

  • Anonymous May 25, 2018

    its a 2010 post (8 years old)
i bet he plays different games on a must faster PC, NOW in 2018.

    tireine??? (spelling error ,extreme?)
    OP
NO OS stated,is this the XP virus magnet?
most $60 games do not work on old PC
after all the game min. requirements told you that and you did not believe them.?
the video setting in most high end games
    can be wicked down greatly.
and will run faster like that. (for sure this game)
the OP never once said what warcraft version
    making any wise answers impossible.
but here is one, generic answer here.
    ---------------------------------------
    quote (link below)
    Graphics: Fast (Instead of fancy)

Smooth Lighting: Off (Turn it on when you are filming to make the lighting smoother)

3D Anaglyph: Off (This doesno t apply much to the lag but leave it off unless you want 3D viewing; requires red and blue 3D glasses)

GUI Scale: Preference (This also doesno t apply to lag but I chose Automatic)

Brightness: Preference (This is your choice but I choose Bright (max) so I can see more at night)

Particles: Minimal (This doesno t reduce as much lag but is still recommended) NOTE: Some redstone devices that use smoke or water particles will not work when you have this at minimal. (This shouldno t apply to you if you dono t use redstone).

Render Distance: Normal, Small, or Tiny (Changing it to the Far setting is only recommended if your computer can handle far rendering which allows you to see farther but increases lag. Short and Tiny settings reduce a lot of lag but dono t allow you to see as far and will lag a bit when you start to walk in unrendered areas.

Performance: Max FPS (This setting allows more frames to move = smoother and faster movement. But this setting uses more power (not too much). The other settings reduce the amount of frames per second (FPS) = a bit laggier but uses less power).

View Bobbing: Preference (This doesno t interfere with lag and just moves your character so ito s more realistic).

Advanced OpenGL: On/Off (This improves your FPS rate only if your graphics (video) card supports it. Choose the On setting, and test your FPS in a Minecraft world. Change the settings back and forth to see if turning it on or off makes a difference).

Clouds: Off (This removes clouds = less lag)

or learn to read this on the minecraft sites
    ever like google and read.

here is one of 1000s of places covering this whole topic in depth.
    (first off) (as per always)
the PC can be overheating (if yes it will go SLOW or halt, by DESIGN. clean it, now.

the PC can be infected (XP?)
the PC can be overload with startup apps hogging memory or CPU cycles, so delete them.
the PC can be the wrong PC or GPU card.
but here are some tweaks. (google hit #1)
    am I really that lucky?

Try this once
World of Warcraft System Requirements
The World of Warcraft system requirements are impressive. World of Warcraft requires a large amount of memory, hard drive space and, above all, a solid
internet connection.
For a Windows system, the minimum World of Warcraft system requirements are as follows:
- Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz processor
- at least 512 MB of RAM,
- 32 MB graphics card,
- DirectX 9.0,
- 6.0 GB of hard drive space
- 4x CD-ROM
- 56k internet connection.
However, the recommended World of Warcraft system requirements are substantially higher:
- Intel Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz processor
- 1024 MB of RAM
- 64 MB 3D graphics card
- broadband internet connection
- A two-button, scroll-wheel mouse is also recommended.
Millions of players connect daily to the World of Warcraft servers, and the amount of information being transferred from any one computer to the main terminals is enormous. But with all of these numbers and with all of these devices, frequent gamers know they will need to go above the minimal system requirements to experience the game fully. The minimal World of Warcraft system requirements only guarantee the game to run; they do not guarantee the game to run in a playable fashion.
There are some other known issues to keep in mind
- Some video cards may experience problems displaying certain textural effects while playing. Graphic issues may include colors shimmering across static textures, textures that appear solid green or white, and patches of texture or even geometry that are invisible.
- World of Warcraft/Burning Crusade requires the latest version of DirectX.
- Also, it is important that your video drivers are up-to-date and compatible with the latest version of DirectX. Outdated or incompatible video drivers can cause a variety of video and game play issues.
Something else you should keep in mind is that World of Warcraft had multiple expansion packs and down-loadable patches and these are also a factor into the World of Warcraft system requirements. Overtime, the specifications have shifted, and will keep shifting in the future; what was once acceptable to run the original game is no longer adequate for some expansions and patches. This will force players to upgrade their computers, if they wish to run the latest versions of the game. Gamers really have no choice; in order to compete, they must have the latest World of Warcraft software and a system that meets at least the recommended requirements; otherwise, you will keep stumbling around.

your computer simply may not be able to play world of warcraft anymore. you may need to splurge and buy a more game-intensive computer, or upgrade the video card. good brands to look for are anything ati and nvidia.

I have a game lag(games like War craft and Counter strike)...all drivers are up to date..system spec are also high..dont know what to do..plz help(( my laptop is amilo li 1718..the game lag is not related...

that unit may have decent processor specs but that means nothing because the video card for those are a ATI Radeon 200M. World of Warcraft does nto support that video card correctly and is too slow to make the graphics not lag.

counter strike source on full low everything will run fine on this video card but the game will look bad.

Lagging

if it is only while during online play then it is your internet speed connection is too slow if it all the time while playing the game wether it be on or offline then your graphics card is not advanced enough to support this game mainly because of the amount of graphics ram on your card try upgrading to a new graphics display card! i hope this helps!

World of Warcraft Patch problem

Try these two solutions -

Try to move the World of Warcraft folder back to where it was originally installed and run the patch.

Or try this -
1. go to Macintosh HD => Users => Shared => Blizzard: delete the .plist file inside
2. launch the World of Warcraft game and let the patch go through again, download/patch

Good luck.
