There are some free software to recover your pictures, as far as you have not yet "overwrite" the card.
You can google to choose or
You can try MjM photorecovery software, here:

Let me know if the link does not work.

If the pictures were on a memory card and you haven't done anything to the card since then, try this. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for your computer and operating system. Put the card into a card reader attached to your computer and run the program.

I have an HP digital camera and I took 90 pictures of my trip to Mexico and now only four pictures show up. They were not deleated by mistake and were on the camera yesterday and today only four pictures...

Check to see if they're in the memory card by using a card reader or your cable (USB) hooked up to your computer. Look in "My Computer" to see what's on the card. If they're there, copy them to a folder on your computer. After you confirm they were copied, I would format the card in your camera using the camera's function for formatting.

Hit the button with the camera/play/camcorder on it, and push the trash can (on the wheel) and from there you can select to delete all the pictures or delete them one by one.

Erasing pictures

If you erase them off your memory card they shouldn't be transfering back onto your computer. I would say that maybe they are saved on your internal memory of the camera also. Take your memory card out and see if when you turn the camera on you have pics in the camera stored. If you do delete them then. :)
