You have to plug in a patch cable from the sound card out into the sound "in" plug that is on the back of your monitor. Sound does not go through the monitor cable. it only carries video. You have to bring the audio signal in by use of another cable dedicated just to the sound. It is a double male-mini-din cable. Radio Shack or Bestbuy or computer store will have one, just tell the clerk that you need a sound card double male patch cable. $5.
Thank you,
James.

Check the cabling. Check the connections. Check the audio source.
Check the extended warranty you added when you bought those $1500.00 speakers.

Make sure the Volume is high on the monitor as well as on the PC. the speaker cable that is connected to the back of the tower to the back of the monitor you have to connect that speaker cable to the front on the tower in the headset port and try to play some music. that should work out if there is no issue with the sound driver.
You can uninstall the sound driver from the device manager and reinstall it. update the driver.

HOW DO I CONNAT SEAKER

Hi,

I think the issue is how to connect the speakers.

The desktop tower will have the three ports behing it.

The colours would be pink, green and blue.

You should be having three holes in the spaker box.

One says IN - a cable should connect the 'IN'  of the speaker box to the green hold in the tower which is the output for the sound from the computer.

The speaker box should be having the other hole named as 'OUT'

Connct the spaker cable to this which is the output of the sound from the speaker box or audio box.

Now enjoy your music from the speakers.

Good Luck.

Get Moniter Speakers Working

Hello First of all you need a sound card on your computer with a Spk. (Speaker) or Phones (headphones) Out Jack it might be a symbol of a small speaker or headphones. You have to be sure you are getting a actual sound output signal from this sound card too. If the sound card is not working your moniter speakers would not have a signal to drive it. You also need a 1/8" Stereo 2 male stereo plugs on both ends, one end plugs in back of moniter other plugs in back of computer like I mentiond above. Make sure your Mute button is not selected on your computers volume button usally at bottom right of screen. Make sure the volume buttons are up to aprox 3/4 up also. Then for last on the moniter look in the menu i think you might have to keep pressing the menu button but i kind of forget now but its a Spk setting and volume setting in this speaker setup within the moniter as well make sure this is turned on and set at a higher volume level as well. Thats about all I can say without taking the moniter apart and checking the jack and wires and speakers. I would suggest you take it to a electronics or a tv repair or computer repair person to go any further then this. Hope you take time to read all of this I tried to put every step in here to help anyone out with this problem. Thanks for reading. Ken T
