-   Hi,
I purchased a Verbatim #96579, 4Gb Store 'n' Go USB Drive on 9/13/08.
This product is not recognized nor does it load on my personal Acer Aspire 3610 laptop running WinXP(Home), with service pack 3, Zonealarm, AdAware, Spybot, Spywareblaster, etc., and a 40Gb harddrive with 1GHz RAM.
I am the Administrator of this laptop.
Harddrive partitions on my laptop include 2 NTFS and 1 FAT32 formatted drives.
Have downloaded the software (V-Safe.exe, etc.) from the Verbatim website but it wouldn't install the software.
Error message when trying to install was 'Please insert Store 'n' Go and run as a privileged user.
The USB drive is still not being recognized by my laptop as Device Manager states that the driver is no installed.
Have tried to search/install via the internet for a driver for the USB drive but it appears that none are available.
The drive is supposedly compatible with Win XP & Vista systems and is formatted as an FAT32 drive.
Other flash drives (ie.
Kingston 2Gb drive, etc.) are recognized automatically by my laptop w/no problems.
Appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter as the Verbatim support center are not responding to my requests for help.
If you need further information, please advise.
P.S. This problem USB drive from Verbatim works on my desktop and a Dell laptop (both running WinXp)-
