I had this problem, and fixed it (and the dreadful battery life) by upgrading the firmware. If you have some tech know-how, and are confident, then head over to here and read all about it: http://darkforestgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=298.0 If not, you might have luck popping into your local phone shop.
Be warned; back up all your contacts and photos, etc. before you do this (I lost all of my phone contacts).
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Using Call Block If you subscribe to Caller ID, you can save phone numbers to the call block list. When a call comes in, the phone compares the received phone number to the numbers on the call block list. If the phone number is on the list, the phone replaces the caller's name with Call Blocked and disconnects the call. (The caller hears a reject tone.)
The call block list holds 20 entries, and all stations share the same list. You can add entries through the Call Blocking menu, by selecting Add Call Block in the CID menu, or by blocking incoming calls. (Only one station can edit the call block list at a time.) Blocking incoming calls
When the phone rings, wait until the display shows the Caller ID information (usually after the second ring).
If you want to block the call and add this number to the call block list, press Block.
When the phone asks you to confirm, press Menu/select or Block. Blocking an incoming call from an "Unknown" or "Private" number is the same as selecting Unknown Number or Private Number from the Call Blocking menu.
Call Blocking menu options
With the phone in standby, open the menu and select Call Blocking.
Choose one of these options:
Create New(Handset only) - Add an entry to your call block list. The phone will prompt you to enter a name & phone number.
Private Number(Handset only) - Block all calls from numbers reported by CID as "Private." (This does not count as one of the 20 entries.)
Unknown Number(Handset only) - Block all calls from numbers reported by CID as "Unknown". (This does not count as one of the 20 entries.)
Call block entry options
With the phone in standby, open the call block list and find the entry you want.
Press Menu/select to open the individual entry menu. Choose one of these options:
Edit(Handset only) - Edit this entry. The phone will prompt you to edit the name & phone number.
Delete - Erase this entry from the list & allow calls from this number.
You might have to change your settings under your profiles.Go to
the profile and then edit under whichever profile is the one you are
currently using and then go down to phone and scroll all the way down
where it says do not disturb and be sure it says no. if it says YES then
it will go straight to voice mail.change it to NO

The two short rings is telling you that the call is either a transfered call (answered by someone else and transfered) or answered by an auto attendant and transfered. Watch the ringing phone when the call comes in and see if the intercom LED blinks.
to format the fone, theres an alternative way. Press and hold <3>, <*> and Call (Send) buttons, then power on fone, keep holding on the 3 buttons, till u come to a format screen. this method ONLY works on 6600, and need not enter the sec code. BUT sec code would be reset to default 12345.
if u r satisfied with my answer then pls vote me
its most likely a service issue. actually im 99% sure, just ring your service provider and explain your problem, or if you wanna be more technical just tell them that they havent adequately provisioned your CLI number.
i) when phone is ringing, you have only two options either to 'answer' the phone or to 'reject' the phone, otherwise you dont have any option keeping ur phone in slient mode at that point of time(when phone is ringing).
ii) however you can keep ur in slient mode without going to your profiles by just selecting(# button) from number key pad(where u normally dial phone number......), you have to press hold # button to go into silent mode and press hold same button to come to ur general profile
iii) I'm using same CECT A8+(IPHONE), you can ask me any questions in future.............
I don't know your country code or vmail quickdial number but try this using those numbers where I say.
Oh firstly if your fone is a prepaid you may need to ring your provider and ask them to extend the ring time.if not this might work
Pls let me know if it does.
** (country code) * (vmail number)**30# and press call this should extend the ring tone to 30 secs.
remember country code & vmail number have to be actual numbers dont try to type in the words and brackets
