Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. First, verify that there is actually no paper jam (open all the doors, take out the paper tray, take out the cartridges and visually inspect). Turn printer off and unplug the printer from all cables (power, USB, etc). Try to hold it upside down and gently shake it so that if there is any paper inside it’s removed. If still it’s not resolved then clean the print head. To clean the print head take a hot water towel with the printer unplugged and the cartridges out, clean it till the time you see there is no ink residue on the towel. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

This could be a driver related issue.

If this printer is working before to your computer, start by clearing any pending documents on the queue. Make sure that the printer is set as your default printer.

If the printer is directly connected to the computer, try to change the port - go to Control Panel > Printers > right-click the printer icon > Properties > Ports tab.

If the port selected is USB001 Virtual Printer port, change it to USB02 Virtual Printer port and click on "Apply".

If same problem occur, try to stop and restart the printer spooler.
- Start > Run or Search > type "services.msc" (without quotes) > hit Enter.
- Locate and click the Print Spooler > click "Stop the service", then after 10 seconds, click on "Restart the service".

Last, try to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and make sure that the driver is compatible with your computer.

Thank you and good luck!

Cannon Pixma iP3000 inkjet printer wont print in black

1. Clean your print head using denatured alcohol solvent which can be purchased from most hardware stores. If unavailable, use 91% Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol (first aid antiseptic) which is available for less than a dollar at most Walmart pharmacy departments.

*Warning: You may want to use a pair of latex exam gloves as this is a messy process and can stain your fingers.
Time necessary 45-50 minutes
Supplies needed:
Isopropyl Alcohol or denatured alcohol
paper towels
latex gloves
sink, bowls and or basin
can of compressed air
very small screw driver
tablespoon or baby bulb type syringe
warm water

PROCEDURE:
1. Lift print head from printer. It pulls out easily because it is held in with the same down lever that holds the cartridge in place.
2. Put two layers of paper towels in the bottom of a dish to protect sensitive sprayer heads.
3. Put enough solvent in dish to cover the screens on which the cartridges sit when in use.
4. Take the two small screws out that hold the white ceramic piece
5. Gently, pry the ceramic piece back and away , to reveal the underside (No need to pull away the glued points on the sides.)
6. Gently, move head up and down to slosh solvent around it the best as you can. Use a table spoon or syringe to pour solvent over all orifices in the print head, turning it upside down and then back a few times.
7. Use canned air with a plastic straw to blow into and through all orifices, alternately sloshing/swishing and pouring solvent over head (be careful not to touch any of the holes, screens, or sprayer heads with anything)
8. Empty dirty solvent from bowl and replace with paper towels and clean solvent. Soak for approx 10 minutes. Rinse again with clean solvent poured directly on all parts, letting solvent overrun and fall into dish or basin.
9. Gently shake the solvent off the head, take it outside and spray with compressed air into all orifices to clear out and help evaporate any remaining solvent. Let sit on a clean paper towel for approx 20 minutes. (There may be a little ink bleeding out of the head, but once it dries completely it does not present any problems.
10. Reinstall head, cartridges and it will print like a new printer.

SUGGESTION: For many years of problem free printing, keep a double set of ink cartridges, one set full at all times. Whenever a cartridge runs out of ink, replace it IMMEDIATELY, with a new one or a refilled one. This gives the print head no chance to dry out and create clogged heads. Routine maintenance of cleaning the heads every 24 months does wonders for keeping your printer in new condition.

Hope this helps. .

Canon Pixma MP750 prints blank pages but prints correct test page

Start by making sure your ink cartridges are full and the correct or recommended crtridges. If ok try routine maintenance by doing the following:

I have a Cannon pixma IP30000 printer. Loved it.

Hi, I have pulled many printers apart when they failed printing...
mostly it is a circuit board problem...some have fuses...others don't...even if it has a fuse it will be soldered onto the circuit board...
have you checked that the lead is properly pushed into it's socket...I know this is basically a silly question...but have you checked???
If you are absolutely sure that there is power to the printer, it may mean that it is now dead as a Dodo...even with a lot of problems you should get a power up light...
you may be surprised to know that I have found paperclips do a lot of damage to printers when they fall into the paper feeder slot...as do little creepy things...
hope you get the printer going...
cheers

My document are all too far to the right on the paper. The printer says I should do a head alignment, however, the manual contains NO instructions on head alignments, so I have no idea how to accomplish...

Support is available at the Canon website, but the support is temporarily down. Take this link at a later time when they are back up and running. The instructions are there. Choose from the pull downs multifunction, inkjet, MP480. Scroll down and enter "print head alignment", click search and the instructions will be available there.

Recurent paper jam on Cannon Pixma MX300

Some printers have a certain paper height or paper load you can have loaded at one time. I would try loading a smaller amount of paper and see if that helps. If it still does the same thing your paper thickness lever may be damaged.

Printer does not fully pull paper...

You probably need to clean the rollers that feed the paper. Check your manual or go to Cannon web site.
