Question about Kenmore Kitchen Ranges
I have a Kenmore Elite stove/oven/range. The model number is 790.99123407 and the serial number is VF52964193. The power went out about a week ago, and when it came back on, it would not work. There is power to it, we can set the clock, but when we try to turn on the oven, we get an F20 error code, and when we try to turn on the burners, we get an F5 01 error code followed by an F500 error code. We tried flipping the breaker on more than one occasion, but still getting the same error codes and no workable oven or stove. :o(

F1 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)

You need a new mother-board.
I had the same issue, it overheated my kitchen in a matter of minutes. If I didn't turn off the circuit-breaker, I probably would have had a fire - the heat being emitted was intense. The cost is running around $300. with tax and delivery. I'm not sure if I want to repair or purchase a new oven.

SOURCE: Oven wont light
Mine did that and I found the ignitor for the oven was bad. It was the "glow" type for pilotless ignition and it was burned out. It is supposed to glow bright red and the gas comes on and the oven will light. It was easy to tell that it was bad. But to check it I swapped the broiler ignitor with the oven ignitor and the oven worked.
