Question about Whirlpool Dryers
Hi i have a whirlpool gas dryer LGR8648LWO and there was a paper clogg in vent i cleaned it out and and i have replaced the high limit thermastat when i first turn on dryer the heat glow comes ignites a flame then stays lit for ten min turns off then the glow comes back but it does not reignite and then i smaell gas i do have a thermal fuse but if i install it i cant return it can you tell me should i replace thermal fuse or what else before that? ty
If your ignitor (glow bar) is glowing that indicates the thermal fuse is okay.
With the symptoms you are describing it is acting more like an air flow issue than a component failure. Make sure your door seal is good, your venting is connected properly and try it again. I would not install the thermal fuse.
