This is a fairly common problem here with lots of TVs. Vertical colored lines are typically show up on a TV screen when the T-Con board is not working correctly . Lots of times this can be easily be caused by wiring that is not securely fully fastened. Other times the T-Con Board itself might be faulty and need to be replaced.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Type in this key phrase " my service table today " in the search box at the top right of the display window of the home page, to get gathered some pages which has the details of practical experiences to the author of that site.
There are lots of common problems with flat screens that result in those symptoms. Some fixes are super easy and cost $.35 haha and others can cost hundreds not to mention if your doing it your self or not factor in labor. Lots of people sell tv s like that from $50 to $100 bucks and they sell quick! Hell I'd buy it if I had the chance. Could use parts or god forbid find an easy solution ( rare :( )
Sounds like the gel has dribbled down into the workings and has effected the circuitry. Time for a new monitor. More importantly, why the heck were you using a liquid/gel sanitiser on electrical equipment. Use dedicated screen wipes
Hello The LOT [Line Output Transformer] of your TV. It should be replace with same type and number. Actually this is a skilled work. You have to unsoder this component out from the circuit board, and to resolder the new one in place. Have to adjust the perfect screen and focus voltage. Screen and focus voltage controls can be seen on it. This component can be bought from most of the electronic spare part shops at your tow. The number printed on it is important and should be noted. The sample picture of that component is attached here. This component also known as Flyback transformer. OK.
try screen calibration. you can find it in prefs. the lines may be because your device fell or experienced some kind of shock. if screen calibration still won't work try downloading powerdigi (it's not free though, you can try first the demo) it calibrates screen almost perfectly! :)
Try cleaning the sides of the screen using cloth or thin paper to remove dust. accumulated dust may cause the lines. if not, ask for repair centers though it is very costly.
Hello
If the lines are there, and are across the screen at about an inch apart the whole screen from top to bottom, it is due to a slight increase in your TVs screen votage. It can be adjusted.
Open the back cover of your TV. There is an LOT [Line Output Transformer], can be seen directly soldered to the printed circuit boar of your TV. It is the largest component inside your TV, which have usually three wires emerging from it, and one thhick wire goes to the final anode of the picture tube, and will seem to be sticked to the top of the picture tube with the help of a rubber ******. Other two wires goes to the base card of the picture tube, a circuit board.
The said [LOT] has two controls integrated on it facing you as you open the TV. Among the top one is focus control, and the bottom one is screen control. Both of them are variable resistors, help to adjust focus and screen voltages respectively.
As set powered on, keeping the brightness, contrast and colour controls to its minimum, turn the screen control a little bit counterclockwise [not more, a little bit] will eleiminate the lines on your TV screen.
Take every precautions we have to, when working with an electrical equipment. Keep children away from you while you are working on it. Never allow them even to come beside you. Keep an adult beside you as a precautionary measure. Ok.
Wish you all sucess.
