The zoom in the blackberry 8310 camera stop working

i would backup your phone using the bb desktop manager and then go to options-security-general settings- option button and then wipehandheld. it may have been a button mapping issue and the wipehand held will fix that, if it doesn't then your camera is bad, and it would need to be replaced.

Can't zoom with camera. My trackball works fine for everything but when in camera mode and I try to zoom nothing happens. It stays on 1x

i had this issue a while back, have you pulled your battery out of the phone? if you have not, take the battery out and let it sit for minimum 2 minutes, i suggest longer but defiantly not shorter. Then put it back in. The blackberry is like a small computer and pulling the battery out is like doing a restart on the computer. You should pull it out at least once a month for optimal performance. Hopefully this helps.

Scroll ball does not (work/zoom in & out)while in camera mode

It may be a software issue that can be resolved by reinstalling the device operating system.

As long as you are at it, what operating system is on your bb? Click Options, about to check. Go to the blackberry website and check if there are updates to the operating system on your device. It might be worth updating your operating system. RIM addresses bugs with the new updates and they are free.

I have a blackberry curve 8330 and the trackball used to zoom in the camera but now it doesnt. I didnt change any settings for the camera that i know of can some one please help.

Mine just did the same thing. I did a hard reset (pop battery out of phone, count to 10, put it back) and worked after that.

When in doubt, pop the battery out.

Camera zoom

I was informed that if you take your battery out while it was on then it will work when you put in back in after a few minutes. I Just tried it like 2 min. ago and they were right.
