Bios comes long before it enters the harddrive. actually to bios has the driver to open the harddisk. so, you cannot ruin the bios even if you through the harddisk away. If bios is not responding, it has issue other then those system32 files. (pc can run without those system32 files if you had linux) If it stucks on loading windows, then system32 file copy may help.
