I think this is a direct link to a printer friendly version of replacing the ink tanks - http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SuprtKBDetailPrintAct&fcategoryid=105&modelid=17406 - if not see options below heres the support site for that printer http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=17406
This link http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=17406&kbpage=yes should open a FAQ page with a box with "Please enter your question..." if you put in replace ink you should get a list of answers one of which is 3. How do I replace or insert an ink tank?
click on that link and you get full instructions with diagrams on how to replace the ink tanks

otherwise you will need to goto the user manual - drivers and download TAB on the same link - and the online instruction books are there

Replace cartridge on hplaserjet2300dn

Hello!
Thank you for your inquiry.
HP LaserJet 2300dn The HP LaserJet 2300dn printer is the same as the HP LaserJet 2300n printer, except that the printer comes with a built-in duplexer (for automatically printing on both sides of paper).
Here is a link to the user guide that will help help you with a lot of common problems including managing the print cartridge area on beginning on page 68. http://www.avss.ucsb.edu/download/hp2300man.pdf
If this is a new toner cartridge the installation instructions will be included inside the packaging including instructions on eco-sensitive means of disposal of old cartridge.
If this is your first time installation you will find it's very simple.
  • Turn the printer off.
  • Open the top cover.
  • If new - remove any orange tabs labeled remove 1st. If this is a replacement cartridge grab the old toner cartridge by the finger hold indentation and pull up.

CAUTION

To prevent damage to the print cartridge, do not expose it to light for

more than a few minutes.

Be careful not to touch the transfer roller (the black, rubber roller located

underneath the print cartridge). Skin oils on the roller can cause

print-quality problems.

  • Install the new print cartridge. It should slide easily down the guide slots on either side.
  • Close the top cover.

Note:

If the print cartridge is difficult to reinstall, make sure that the registration

plate has been flipped back down into position and that you have

pushed the print cartridge firmly in place.

  • Power the printer back on.

Hope this helps helps. Please keep us updated and remember to rate this answer.
Thanks for using FixYa,
TF

You can align the print cartridges at any time from the control panel or by using the HP Image Zone software on your computer. Aligning the print cartridges ensures high-quality output.
Note: If you remove and reinstall the same print cartridge, the HP all-in-one will not prompt you to align the print cartridges. The HP all-in-one remembers the alignment values for that print cartridge, so you do not need to realign the print cartridges.

To align the cartridges from the control panel:
  1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
  2. Press Setup.
  3. Press 6, then press 2.
  4. This displays the Tools menu and then selects Align Print Cartridge.
  5. The HP all-in-one prints a print cartridge alignment sheet and aligns the print cartridges.

Remove the cartridge, and reinstall. You may have to repeat this a few times.

You could also use a few cotton swabs, with a little bit of alcohol on the tip, and swipe clean the electrical contacts that the cartridge "plugs" into, as well as the contacts on the cartridge. Try reinstalling the cartridge again.

Ink cartridge continues to read replace after

There should be a setting in the printer controls or print manager software that will allow you to reset these. Did you purchase new, or did you refill the ones you had? The computer reads the code on the back of the print cartridge and will recognize it as the same one you took out and will register it as empty even though you just filled it. The refill kits come with instructions on how to resolve this issue. Remember, if all else fails, read the instructions!
If you installed NEW cartridges and the printer management system doesn't have an option, try simply uninstalling the print drivers and reinstalling them.

Will not print text in documents, only headings.

When you go to print on your settings select print in black only. Did you buy Brother ink? Having old cartridges refilled or buying generic can pose a problem. I remember correctly brothers have a chip on the ink cartridge? I have gone through so many printers and its really not worth going any further, seems as though you have put sometime and effort in to this 100$ printer. Take 100$ & buy a kodak easy share all in one the ink is 15$ brand new.

I have a hpdeskjet f2180 and need to change the ink cartridges. How do I get to the cartridges to change them !

Installing print cartridges
  1. Make sure the HP All-in-One is on. CAUTION: If the HP All-in-One is off when you open the print cartridge door to access the print cartridges, the HP All-in-One will not release the cartridges for changing. You might damage the HP All-in-One if the print cartridges are not docked safely when you try to remove them.
  2. Open the print cartridge door. Figure 1: Opening the print cartridge door c00906461.jpg Make sure the print carriage moves to the center. If it does not move to the center, turn the device off and then turn it back on again.
  3. Remove the tape from both cartridges. Figure 2: Removing the tape from a cartridge c00651128.gif CAUTION: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or re-tape the cartridges. Figure 3: Copper-colored contacts c00651129.gif
  4. Hold the cartridges with the HP logo on top.
  5. Insert the tri-color cartridge in the left cartridge slot and the black cartridge in the right cartridge slot. Figure 4: Carriage slots c00853116.jpg Figure 5: Inserting the tri-color cartridge in the left slot c00853117.jpg
  6. Make sure you push the cartridges in firmly until they snap into place. Figure 6: Pushing the cartridge in firmly c00853118.jpg Figure 7: Tri-color cartridge and black cartridge correctly installed c00853119.jpg
  7. Close the print cartridge door. Figure 8: Closing the print cartridge door c00906462.jpg
Aligning print cartridges The HP All-in-One prompts you to align cartridges every time you install or replace a print cartridge. You can also align the print cartridges at any time from the control panel or by using the software you installed with the HP All-in-One. To align newly installed print cartridges
  1. Make sure you have letter or A4 unused plain white paper loaded in the input tray. The HP All-in-One prints a print cartridge alignment sheet. NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input tray, and then try the alignment again.
  2. Load the print cartridge alignment sheet print side down on the left front corner of the glass with the top of the page to the left. Figure 9: Loading the alignment sheet c00906464.jpg
  3. Press the Scan (c00906465.jpg ) button. The HP All-in-One aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the print cartridge alignment sheet.

Changed cartidges & now black and blue don't print on C88+

Try to remove and reinstall the blue and black cartridge and check if you punctured the plastic cap underneath the cartridge itself. then reinstall it and make sure you hear a click or it snaps in. try head cleaning cycle from the utility and print a nozzle check pattern. If same output maybe carts are bad. If that is a genuine epson ink cartridge, call epson and have the ink cartridges replace since they are new ones and for sure epson will send inks since you just bought it. make sure you have date of purchase handy.

pls dont 4get to rate solution if it helps... thanks!!
