If it is an intermitent problem you more then likely have a vac hose that is stretched out. inside the control panel there is a rubber hose that connects your water level pressure switch to the bell housing on the side of the washer tub. if you pull the hose off the switch and cut the hose back 1/4 to 1/2 inch and reconnect it this should saolve your problem. Make sure your hose is long enough to easily reach the switch once it's been cut. on some washers there is just enough hose to reach and if you cut it, it won't be long enough or can pull off while the machine is washing

What is the fl code mean

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

FL error indicates flood condition and is caused due to any overfill condition that occurs inside the washer. To clear the display you can press and hold the STOP/CANCEL button. Usually this error is caused when overfill switch trips due to excessive water in the tub. You can also try to clean the drain hose and check the water inlet valve. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Neighbor reports It's overfilling Water on floor.

Could be a faulty water level switch ,or blocked pressure chamber hose leading to switch, or a sticking water inlet valve, question of elmination I'm afraid.

Our dishwasher does not seem to be getting any

The anti flood device (polystireene plate and micro switch) when activated due to water leak on floor of washer, shuts off the water inlet valve and puts the drain pump on. Determine if any water has leaked to the floor of the washer and is activating this switch. Dry the water and rectify any leak. The water inlet valve (solinoid) could also be faulty although this is not common.

When left the dish washer slowly fills with water causing flooding

Hi.

If the dishwasher fills when being left off, the tech must check for voltage at the inlet valve, then eventually replace the inlet valve.

If the dishwasher overfills during cycle, then test and eventually replace the water level device, usually a float sensor and switch.

The icemaker overfills and the water keeps running and runs out of the fridge onto the floor

Hi, If the ice maker is overflowing, you will need to change the inlet valve. The inlet valve should only draw water when 120V is sent to the solenoid to open it. The inlet valve is located in back and has the water supply tube attached to it.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please let me know.

OVERFILLED AND FLOODED HOUSE

1 of two problems happened.
1) either the water level sensor went bad. Which tells the water inlet valve when to shut off and the machine to start operating.
2) The water inlet valve has failed. This comes from the water hose and fills the washing machine.

Periodically water will continue to flow in the washer and spills out over my floors

You need to check the water level switch, that is the most common cause for this kind of overfilling problems.

If the water level switch is working, then you need to test the inlet valve, that can be stuck on open.

If also the inlet valve is fine, then you will need a new control board.

The most likely is a defective water level switch.

My Maytag Washer keeps running water and won't stop.

regardless of machine being on or not???sounds like a faulty water inlet valve youll need to replace the valve..

If the water level just overfills and floods over the top of washer but turns off when the unit is shut off, then it sounds like a bad fill switch.
