    hello

The cable that you purchase, will not work, you need to use VGA - VGA, the tv will not understand the signal.

OR then you are on the wrong channel, or the video output is not enabled.

    1. make sure you are on the right channel

    2. right click on desktop, select properties, select settings, then right click on 2, select attach, apply and ok.

if there is still no picture, the cable is the issue, it will not work.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

Goodluck!

How to add tv as external monitor

OK first MSSWIN1 there are a lot of missing info in your question. Does your tv has a vga conection if it does this is easy just conect the vga cable to the the computer and the tv and the computer will dectect the tv authomatically if you're running on windows if you wantto use the computer's screen (that is if its a laptop) and the tv at the sametime you will have to go in to the settings and change it. { control Pannel=Appearenceand Personalization=Display=connect to an external display. .. Somepc's will alow you tochose fromprimary to secodary monitor,
OK if your pc does not have any VGA connector you will need a VGA to RCA convertor dont buy the cable (VGA to RCA) those don't work you will still need to buy a conversion box
