Question about Xerox Phaser 7700 Laser Printer
Our printer recently started printing a LARGE black line at the bottom of every page in the middle of a printing session. We replaced the accumulator belt and turned it off for a while because we thought it was over heating. After turning it back on we found it STILL prints the black line. Any help?
The line could be caused by contamination on the black laser lens. Try using the cleaning wand located in the front door to clean the lens. You will need to remove the waste toner container to access the wand slots. If that does not solve the problem, the black developer housing may need to be replaced.
