I'm trying to connect a Samsung HD LCD tv to a Denon AVR1508 receiver using HDMI cable so that the TV sound comes thru the receiver/speakers. which jack do I use (on both the tv and the receiver,

connect the hdmi to the tv (hdmi input 1) and to the receiver (hdmi output) you must make sure that the receiver input settings are assigned correctly. Then hook up all of your devices to the receiver. remember that the 1508 dosent do hdmi upconversion, so if you have any devices that are NOT hdmi, you need to run rca cables from the output of you receiver to the input of your tv. If you have any digital inputs coming out of your devices, i would recommend using them. your 1508 has two inputs that are assignable.
If all of your devices are hooked up to your receiver, and its hooked up to your tv properly, just turn down the sound on your tv, and turn up the volume on your denon!

My Cds wont play in it , the screen lights up but all it dosent play discs !

It may only play CD-R fomats. If your CD is an MP3, or data disk with folders it might not work. Try a CD you purchased. If that doesn't work your cd player is probably broken.

I am using my mic and it dosent work. IT says it is working but its not. IT dosent record any sound

Not sure what kind of microphone you're using but if it is plugged into a receiver (which is the heading you have your question under) it must be powered with either batteries or a preamp.

The receiver input jack does not provide the power required for the microphone to record sound. It will show something is connected, but nothing will record. Inexpensive microphone preamps and powered microphones can be found at any major electronics store.

Hey sori ive lost my sounds system on my computers

Friend there are several possibillities to this problem and we'll discuss it one by one.
The first possible problem is that your operating system might be damaged by a virus that is why your sound system doesn't work. The solution for this problem is to have an updated anti-virus program on your computer and clean your computer with this anti-virus program. After you have done this procedure, you have to install a software that is compatible with your sound system or if you have a sound card on your computer use the software that is packaged along with your purchased sound card have it installed. After doing this procedure try to connect your sound system to the output of your computer usually there are holes or terminal in your computer that is exactly suitable to your sound system's jack and make sure that you connect to the output line. If this doesn't work install a media player to your computer and repeat those procedures mentioned above. In installing those software it is easy just follow the instructions and read carefully the images and characters presented by your computer screen.
Thanks! I hope i've solved your problem

Static and crackling sounds

Sorry to burst your bubble my freind but things do wear out as you had plenty of life out of this unit.. Your problem is a transistor or a driver IC is breaking down under a load and heat and will get worse to where you wont be able to use the unit.. It will probable cost you in a range of 200 bucks or .more!as there is no quick fix for a solid state unit that has no user serviceable parts inside. Its just not replacing the bad part , its the hooking up to the load resistors then seeing that several other parts are not up par and having to start rebuilding the amp statges of your reciver.. If its more then 8 years old Time to landfill it and get a new one .. Put it to rest. It dosent owe you anything as its been loyal to you all these years!! Good Luck

Onkyo receiver

It sure dosent sound good!! The clicking sound you here are the protection relays to assist in protecting your speakers from blowing out. Your output devices are shorted it sounds like. Do not ever ever attemp to jump out those relays as it will burn out your speakers and possibly burn down your house!. Theres alot of current inthese amps for high power so if your not a tech and you think its worth it take the unit in to be looked at as there are no serviceable user parts inside these units . Sorry to have to tell ya this.. Good Luck
