From the wife: It was a code F and I think number 2 came up after (I was kind of drowsy). The load would not spin so I quit the cycle and put it on Drain and spin. Later I did a small load of delicates and it worked but today I did a small load of kitchen towels and it wouldn't drain or spin, and no codes came up . It just kept making a sound and wasn't doing anything.

the washer is 8 years old the drain hose doesn't appear to be kinked. on spin cycle makes kind of a clicking sound and not spining but worked the next time I tried it I haven't seen any codes myself.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. In order to help I would need to know what numbers are coming up after the F. Typically there will be one or two numbers that will tell me what to look for.

Thanks!

The F 02 is a long drain or no drain error. This can happen:

    - if something is caught in the drain clean out

    - The drain hose gets kinked

    - You are using the wrong or too much detergent and suds are present

If the machine can't drain or if there are suds present it can fool the machine into thinking it is not draining.

Can you see suds in the machine? It might be trying to clear the machine itself, when you say it is not doing anything other than making a noise, what kind of noise are you hearing?

The clicking sound during spin along with the failure sounds like we either have something caught between the basket and tub or more likely we have a main bearing that is failing.

Reach inside and see if you hear the clicking noise while turning the basket around by hand. If you do then something is caught maybe through one of the holes in the basket. If no clicking is heard then the likely suspect is the rear bearing.

I have a Kenmore HE3t washer than continues to stop during the cycle and flash the F2 error code even after cleaning out lines, hoses, trap, boot and replacing the drain pump.

It is possible that the brushes on the motor that spins the drum are worn down. The drum will start and stop when this happens. Check the brushes.

Frigidaire gallery front load won't spin

Does the washer spin after the wash cycle? It sounds like the door switch. This is a common problem with frigidaires. 90% of the time a door switch fixes it.

Washer will not spin

I fixed it yesterday. After checking the continuity of my lid switch and pressure switch and finding them ok I removed the tubing from the pressure switch and applied air (blew into it). There was a clog and blowing on it removed it for now. Apparently the pressure switch was telling the machine that the tub was full of water and wouldn't let it start the spin cycle. I ran three loads last night and it worked perfect. I may have to remove the connection on the side of the tub and clean it properly if it clogs again.

The lid switch is ususlly the first to go. Luckily, it is easy to replace. To test the washer, connect the lid switch wires together. If the washer spins, you need to replace the switch.

Lg washing machine wft855a top loader

Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...

Asko w6221 front load washer stops after wash cycle

Do all of your cycles work when you turn them manually? If one cycle does not work when you turn the dial on it then it will be your timer (The dial assembly $100-up) If all your cycles work manually, then it could be your timer motor which is attached to your timer assembly. If you turn the dial pass the wash, on to the rinse, does the dial automaticly move (when finishng the rinse cycle)to the spin cycle? If so then your timer motor is ok. The only wires close to the bottom are the motor, but these should be high enough out of the way.
