Hello, I recently purchased a car from some el dudireno who wasn't kind enough to inform me on all of the little tidbits relating to the dual xdvd 700 in dash dvd player.
This is my first time ever dealing with a car dvd player. I never realized that they put those stupid asz bypass codes on. Could you do me a huge favor and help me out of this situation. I have done some research and I found that nearly every code crack involves a remote, which I am lacking. Is there a way to crack the code without using a remote?

Offhand (without actually seeing the symptom/display) and initially, I would suspect that the unit is video muting. You could try checking the antenna input.
A notable point is, to my knowledge, the TV tuner on this particular model is not built-in. It is an external/add-on device, might you have to check up on this; is it present, is it connected correctly, does it receive power, does it get control signals from the DUAL XDVD-8180.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
Hey guys I have a xdvd-8181 indash dual radio and the password screen comes up and i forgot the password that i set it up with so i was wondering if there is any way to reset it??? Any help will be appreciated thanks Anthony
Normally, to by-pass, you need to ground the yellow/blue wire of the Dual XDVD 8183. This would simulate the condition where the vehicle is in “Park” and the parking brake is engaged thus allowing the unit to operate even if the vehicle in reality is not in “Park” and/or the parking brake is not engaged. Some regions have restrictions on this condition.
Additionally, some versions would require a SPDT switch moving the yellow/blue wire from 12V+ to GND to be bypassed.
Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. A friendly reminder pls, "Drive Safe".
