Hey there Guest! You were right about using the wrong controller. I WON a PS3 from work (awesome!!!) and it came with 2 controllers... been searching on the internet now for over an hour for a solution.. lo and behold I read your answer and switched controllers .. BLAMO! It is now loading Grand Turrismo 5 for me!!!!! TYVM!!!!! You ROCK!
hey, it seems your ps3 optical drive might be broken. if you unplug and restart your console and it still doesn't spin at all, then the drive is just burnt out. if you have a warranty with a store, just bring it in, they should replace it right there. such as best buy. But, if you do not have a warranty or it has ran out, you will have to send it in to Sony. Sorry to be the barer of bad news, im sure this was not the answer you were hoping. i have had my share of console returns with the ps2. thanks for listening.
i had the same problem and have now fixed it succesfully the touch screen works like a grid and is overlayed onto an lcd screen so that when you touch the screen it makes a conection within the grid so that the machine knows where you are touching .....if one of these grids are broken you will never calibrate your screen as the ds doesnt recognise what you are touching .....in short the answer is to replace your touch screen
