Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I teach fourth grade. One of my students tripped and knocked the entire printer on the floor (I've had it one week :-( ) The carriage complete w/printer carriage came loose in the machine. I eventually dislodged it, but am having an impossible time replacing the carriage - it just won't ''fit''. Either I'm doing something wrong, or something is broken. The printer still powers up and there is no rattling inside. Should I just get a priest to administer last rights or is there still hope? Thanks and desperate!

If it's only one week old, its "warranty" may cover "accidental" damage. Take it back to where you bought it, and get them to trouble-shoot, and/or fix, and/or replace it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

EduFire.com

Take classes on-line and earn cash teaching what you know with EduFire.com. EduFire.com provides a way for teachers and students to connect via video classes and groups. The site collects 15% from the teacher's earnings for it's support that lets you teach up to 99 students at a time in one class. Teachers set fees for classes.

You need to buy a web cam and microphone/headset and install them on you computer. Then you sign up as a student, teacher or both. EduFire has a free class for new teachers, about every 2-3 weeks, on-line and using it's system. I have not attended a class yet, but plan to soon.

I'm a retired ESL teacher and have taught adults to speak English in California for 30 years. So, I thought, great, I'll teach English. First I looked at the current offerings, many, and thought of some thing that I could teach that was missing. I filled out the form for the class and scheduled times. No students.

Don't sign up to teach with EduFire and expect them to recruit for you. Teachers need to use all possible ways to attract students. Recently I've had many e-mail exchanges with someone in China about an unlocked cell phone that I had to return. I decided mention my class to him. He said he has many friends who want to learn English.

There is lots of support for learners and teachers on Edufire. I can see this web site teaming with EduFire so that "Experts" video conference to solve problems, especially technical and physical repairs.

How can critical outcomes in education help the teacher to improve teaching methods in the class during a lesson?

I taught adults for years, I found humor to be advantageous when trying to get students to pay attention. This and repeating critical points through out the week. It helps to keep the students involved by asking them at the start of the next class what it is you need them to remember from the previous class. Compliment the students that answer correctly. The student that continually answers incorrectly is the problem, I would ask them to stay after class and attempt to find out why they are not paying attention. Sometimes a student is just not interested... This is a difficult student of course. You will need to encourage them and explain the importance of learning the points you are trying to make, You need them to understand the process of teaching your brain how to learn each stage of your lesson plan since more complicated issues in classes to follow will require them to learn each phase of the lesson plan. Essentially... they need to know you need to learn to walk before you learn to run.

HI, I understand what is your issue. The problem i see is after the upgrade, all .pdf files got corrupted. What I could advise you to do is to revise all the modules you created to a newer version of .pdf. then reformat all the memory stick and convert it to NTFS files. Yes, Windows 7 can still recognize the FAT / Fat32 versions but there isolated cases of file corruption associated with WIndows 7. Hope this helps your concern.

My 7310 indicates a carriage jam. I've cleared all paper and verified no loose paper, dust etc is present and it still reads carriage jam. What should I do?

Inside your printer the ink cartridges ride in the carriage. If you look closely, there is a plastic strip just behind the carriage with closely spaced little lines on it. If the strip gets dirty with dust or ink, you may get that error. Gently clean the entire strip with a rag moistened with water. be sure the entire strip is clean. Move the carriage back and forth to get at all of it. Then see if that doesn't work.
