Hi I was saving a business card as a PDF file

Hi I was saving a business card as a PDF file so I could email to someone, and now I am unable to access it as the computer says I can't support that format. In the interim, I'm afraid I may have accidentally erased the business card. Can you help me get it back in the correct format?

If you did save it as a PDF file, then you need to download the _free_ Adobe Reader software, via http://www.adobe.com , to be able to open and view the contents of the PDF file.

Tip

Want to save that webpage in PDF format? Now you can.

Ever come across a webpage that you would like to save on your computer for future use? I do all the time when surfing the web for home and car repairs. If you try to save the webpage you will notice that you will not be able to save it in the easy to use PDF format. Simply Google Primo PDF and download the freeware, and in minutes you'll be able to save and email documents in PDF format.

Primo
is very easy to use. Primo PDF will actually show up as a Printer option. So if you want to save my tip for future use just select Print from your file menu, change printer to Primo PDF pick the location you want to save it in, and click Create PDF. Primo PDF also offers you the option to email the PDF you just created. Cool, eh?

For those in the business world, you may want to check out Primo PDF Pro.

Aren't you glad you read my tip today?

I am trying to scan a document to email

In most cases, you want to scan to file and save the file in a folder of your choice. I have a 7310 xi all in one and I have a folder on my desktop named scans. When I scan a pic or document I save it as a jpg (pic) file or a PDF (document) file to that folder. Then when I email someone, I attach the file using the attach button on the email page.

I cannot save my reports to file to send in an email

Could you save your reports previously to send seperately? If so what format did you save your reports in? Are you receiveing any error message when you try to save your reports? If so what is it?

A quick work around is if you install a free pdf programme - Cutepdf comes to mind, you can then set to print your reports in cutepdf, save as a pdf file and email them... If you need to do this, I can talk you through it in more detail.

Changing e-mail attachment to pdf?

Word 2007 will allow for saving in PDF format.

Office Button > Save As > PDF or XPS

OpenOffice products allow for saving as PDF
www.openoffice.org

Adobe Photoshop will save as PDF, providing the attachment you received is an image.

There are numerous converters available on the web, check at downloads.com for the file format you posses "to PDF"

Without knowing what format you have, we are unable to assist with your specific situation.

Hope this helps.

Can't open .pdf file email attachments from Windows Mail (Vista)

Send yourself another known working PDF attachment and see if the same thing happens. If it does, post back. If not, then it most likely means there's either a naming issue with the problem PDF, or it is just corrupt enough to give you troubles when opening from email.

Unable to create pfd with word 2007 document

That is normal, Word 2007 cannot create PDF documents, it can only save files on PDF but, being PDF non his own format, it will lose document format, and may not display pdf.

To create PDF you need the full version (not the free acrobat reader) of adobe acrobat, or a different adobe software (eg illustrator) that manages PDF.
