Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My eclipse forze, what can I do?

First, try pulling the battery out and putting it back in, then turning it on. If that doesn't help, try and reset it to its defaults using a small button that you have to push with a pencil led or other thin, circular object. If you can't find such a button, plug the MP3 player into your computer and format it (WARNING: all music on there will be deleted, so back it up first), then try starting it up.
Good luck!

Under settings accidently set to default & it took out all of my music. how can i get my music back, restore my music?

If you have an Ipod, you are gonna need a lot of time. It will take long to sync each one seperately. If it's just an mp3 player, do this:
1.Open up your music folder and copy ALL your music. Do NOT delete it all.
2.Go to MY COMPUTER>then your mp3 device. Click paste. Your mp3 light might flash if you have one - this means it's sending it to your mp3.
3.You will get a box come up on the screen telling you it's copying the music.
4.There you go. Your music is on your mp3 again.

-sigh- if only ipods were so easy

Help!!!!! My philips SA3125/02 isnt working!

Reset will NOT delete all your music, but the permanent fix that you need to prevent this from happening again will delete all the songs. Reset, and see if it works. But it might freeze up on you during vacation. You will have to keep pushing reset until you get home and have more time for the permanent fix.

My music folder is gone

To reset the player hold in the power button for at least 20 seconds, when you release the button the player should restart on it's own. If it does not then try again holding the power button for a little longer. If for some reason the player becomes unstable and resetting doesn?t resolve the issue, then try the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool which will clean up your player and restore it to factory settings. You can download this tool & get instructions on it's use on the following link: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532 Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

File error

Try a reset and see if it corrects itself. hit menu, settings, scroll to reset all, select yes. This won't delete any files, but it should clear up the song transfer problem. If that doesn't work you may have to reformat the device which will erase all data on it. But then you can start fresh again.

Sansa m230 cannot see previously installed music files now that WMP11 is installed

I had the same problem on my m230. The final solution that worked for me was to disconnect then go into settings;usb and set it to MSC. Once I re-connected I could see everything.
