Question about Kenmore Dryers
I have a kenmore 70 series dryer that will not come on. I have changed the push to start switch, and the timer. the only thing that seems to work is the drum light, what should i try now?
Next time send the model number,if it's not starting unplug the dryer,on top of the blower wheel housing there will be a thermal fuse,if the filter is on top it's behind the back panel of the dryer,if the filter is inside it's in the front of the dryer,it will be near the duct that the lint filter slides into, you need to remove at least one of the wires before you read it out with a meter,it will be a 3392519 or a 3390719,these are the two most used thermal fuses.let me know what you find,if it is the fuse most likely you need to clean out the dryer.blow out the vent line i use a leaf blower if it's long, clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is
