This happens a lot when usb is configured in the Bios. What is happening is it is trying to boot from the USB device.

Audo card how to replace

Open pc, remove sound card if not inbuilt to the motherboard, install new sound card into pci slot, close pc. Turn on.

I inbuilt sound card, boot up and hold del button to enter setup. Disable the inbuilt audio.

Boot up and insert disc with audio drivers for new sound card. Done.

The sound card will have one screw holding it in place to the case.

:)

SOUND CARD REPLACMENT

On a desktop it's easy to replace the sound card. Remove the power cord, open the case then purchase a PCI Sound card that will fit into one of the PCI Slots. You present sound card might be what is called an on board sound card (which is built into the motherboard). You won't touch the onboard sound card, you will simply add a pci sound card.

after you have disabled your current adapter in device manager, you will need to verify that your system's primary display adapter is set to PCI in your BIOS.
1. Reboot computer. you can enter the BIOS settings by pressing F2 key right after post during the boot process.

After you have set the primary display, reboot and then shutdown. unhook power cord and monitor cable

2. find an open PCI slot and remove the slot cover from the back of the case. Insert the card, making sure it is seated properly (no gaps, not crooked)
3. attach monitor cable to the VGA port on your new card.
4. boot system. you will get the message that windows has found new hardware. cancel all the prompts that come up.
5. insert your drivers disk that came with the card. follow through the prompts.you will have to reboot after the installation.
your video card should be working now.

hope this helps

XP Keeps rebooting with LAN Cable connected

Have you tried going into the bios setup before windows loads up? You may have a setting to choose startup on lan. Just turn that off and hit F10 and enter.
To enter the bios setup keep pressing delete after truning on the computer until the bios screen appears. Don`t change anything unless you know what you are doing.

PC not booting when AVERmedia TV tuner card is inserted

Techguru2009: Seems you might have a conflict with your I/O. You need to reset the bios either by loading defaults or just remove the CMOS battery for ten minutes. After start the computer without the pci card. If all is well, then shutdown. insert the card in a different slot on the motherboard. Power up and the bios should recognize the update. Hope this helps.
