My power ,for packard bell desk top supply blew up due to much power,so i need a replacement?whic type can i buy? can any power supply work ,are they universal.
The style of power supply is different from a universal power supply. A universal power supply won't fit in the slot properly.
This website has it for fairly cheap:

No, they are different shapes for the case that they are in, as well as different watts, especially packard bell. You can order one from packard bell. Or you can buy a new case and power supply together then transplant the motherboard and cards to the new case. There are good prices on cases and power-supplys at www.pricewatch.com

Packard Bell (160248-01) Computer Speakers with a 12
volt power source worked OK,
Tried a 9 volt and it also worked.
This pair of speakers is grey with a
barrel design. The mounting surface placed flat is approximately 10.25
inches by 3.75 inches. Each end has a rainbow design with a depth of 2.75
inches. By placing with the mounting surface flat on your desk gives you an out
of the floor design. The front edge from the desk to the bottom edge is 1.5
from the surface to the top edge with a 3.75 inch. Suggesting you may mount
them under your desk, on the side by your legs or stand them on each side of
your screen.
I am told they come in white and black also I found them rather large for what I need but your decision is you should be happy before buying a pair.
