what exactly is the model number ? C700 is not enough

it might be C700 CTO or C700EM or C700ET

have a look at the exact model number on the back side of the laptop

You need to choose the model number you have from the list.
then pick your operating system and download and install the audio driver.

You can download a driver from mirosofts windows update it is called XP-Max Audio Music driver.

This link will open download page from HP click on your OS i.e. Vista/XP. Then the all drivers will be listed for your Note Book, go and download which one you want.
