Question about Dell 1600n All-In-One Laser Printer
I checked the fuzer bulb and the filament is intact. The copies are unreadable the printer is useless until I can fix this problem. Is there something else that I can check.
Thanks, Robert Rosenheimer
From FixYa Support:
The Dell 1600n printer driver has a toner saver mode, which can contribute to light print.
To turn Toner Save Mode off, (Windows XP) perform the following steps:
The Printers and Faxes window appears.
The Dell Laser MFP 1600n, 1815dn Printing Preferences window appears.
The Dell Laser MFP 1600n, 1815dn Advanced Options window appears.
If still a problem, you probably have a bad fuser. The fuser part for dell 1600N is - N5796 110V. To replace, unplug the machine and remove the rear lower cover. Remove four screws and the largest rear cover. The fuser is in view. Remove four more screws and two plugs and remove the fuser. To replace, reverse the procedure.
Hope this helps.
