Asko w6021 washer not working

Washer worked fine up until this week for 6 years. First a load of clothes came out wet, then the washer would not run any of the programs. When the start button is pressed ther is just a clicking sound but nothing else happens. I replaced the circuit board thinking it may have malfunctioned but the washer still does the same thing.

Asko w6021, That is exactly what has happened to my machine. Try to start it and you hear a click and nothing else. Also my door will not open unless you use the emergency opening.

Mark, more than likely your problem is worn brushes on the motor. They are very easy to replace and can be found on the web site repairclinic.com. Hope this helps

Same problem but I opened the access panel to circuit board and found a lot of residue on an area of the circuit board, on the back of board and the plastic beneath. Also some residue on inside of panel cover. The dor button works, the power light operates nut washer dose not start when you push the start button. Should I look at brushes also since I am in the unit and replace? And do you feel as I do that the board is toast? Also where and how much to get new circuit board?

If it's a W6021, the brushes - in the USA - are part #8801195. You need to get two of them. AskoUSA.com sells them for US$33.82 for 2 (+ shipping & handling, which can be exorbitant). They are usually back-ordered items so be prepared to wait. I'm waiting on mine plus a circuit board to replace the one that got fried when the brushes went bad. The board at Asko is US$163.81 + S/H. Cheaper than a new machine, I guess.

I have an Asko 20005 front load washer. When the humidity is high, it buzzes but will not start. When I run a dehumidifier for a few hours it works fine.

The humidity will kill the control unit if you keep trying to start when buzzing. Make sure the humidity is as low as possible. These controlunits are discontinued, and impossible to get as sparepart!

However, this is the best machine ever made!!

Washer not spinning properly

Hi, there may be excess water in the water reservoir. Empty the washer Turn it off at the mains, and unplug it, then put some old towels on the floor, tip the washer forward until the excess water comes out. Reconnect and try again.

My washer seems to be functioning normal, but my clothes are coming out wet enough to ring water out of them. I have to run an extra spin cycle and they still come out wetter than other machines I've...

The drive belt may be slipping.

There is an adjustment on the motor (four bolts which secure the motor) If you increase the tension on the belt and pulley, you will get a better result.

Ask me if you need more instructions on this.

Asko w6021 washer leaves clothes damp and often stops mid cycle

I AM NOT MUCH OF A MECHANIC, BUT I DO KNOW THAT IF WATER DOESN'T SPIN OUT OF THE WASHER, IT COULD BE THAT YOUR BELT IS BROKEN OR YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE MOTOR COUPLING.

Try to Open the safety compartment using a screwdriver under the wash machine in the front.
Then open the big white knodb this will cause the wate to drain out which is fine.
Then clean this out. Usually you will find coins and stuff here from years of operations from pockets. clear these out and your problem maybe fixed. worked for us
