From my experience, I would think you have a bad belt. They get stretched over time and start squealing in the spin cycle. If you don't change it, it will make a noise in every cycle until it comes off. NOTE.
When changing belt. Check and be sure the pulleys have no play on their shafts. They also go bad. It's better to fix it all now than one to have to repair four or five times this year. Good luck!

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. The spin cycle activates the fast mode on the motor, squealing normal occurs due to belt slippage. I would check your belts (look for cracks. Check the belt tension as well, most washers have an adjustment, normally on the motor that allows you to increase the tension of the belt.
My washer did the same thing. I put some belt dressing on the belt (the belt is on the very bottom, no disassembly rquired). The belt dressing I picked up at the local auto parts, and this seemed to help.
If the washer is making a squealing noise, the problem is more likely to be the basket drive. If it is more like a rattling sound, the centerpost bearings are probably worn out.
Open machine's rear panel and spin the basket manually by turning the drive pulley, to find out from where exactly the noise come from. Defective part should be replaced.
