I have a Grundig TV which is about 5 yrs old which is connected to ad DVD player and VCR. I recently bought a DVD Recorder and connected it to the TV and removed the DVD player and VCR. I also have FOXTEL connected. However I have been unable to tune the TV to pick up the DVD recorder. I can't see any menus, or play a DVD etc. I als then removed the DVD recorder and re-connected the old DVD player and VCR and I am now unable to view these appliances. How do I tune it? Can someone please help. I believe everything is connected correctly.

Re: Grundig TV - Tuning DVD & VCR
If the DVD recorder has an RF out then you should be able to tune it on UHF bandwidth. The cable should run from the RF Out on the recorder to RF on the TV. Switch the recorder on, put in a DVD and press play before tuning. Some DVD's require a disc before a Menu appears. Good Luck, Regards, JUS004

The channel is almost always 3 or 4. Be sure you have the VCR connections correct. Just hook up the TV and VCR alone to start with and try both the VCR and DVD. Also the output of the VCR should show a blue screen.
First of all, do you still have the vcr connected to your tv, and if so see what output setting the vcr is set to. This is most likely your problem. Try the tv by itself and see if it works, if so this is your problem.
If you are in the US, the TV set has to be on channel 3 or 4, if your in the UK, the TV would have to be on a UHF channel. It should say on the RF output of the VCR what station you must tune to ,or in the instruction book of the VCR. Good Luck
