Question about Samsung AS1293L Air Conditioner

1 Answer

I have always believed in Samsung fact each and every appliance of mine is a Samsung. I bought a 2 ton split for my boutique just about 1.5 yrs ago. Recently it was not functioning and your engineers came and TRIED to fix it to no avail. Finally 3 days later they said they had to take the unit to their workshop so that they could fix it, check it and then return it. Needless to say they took 8 days to come and then kept the unit for a further 7 days. Exactly 2 weeks later the a/c starts icing up again and yet restart the entire process of daily calls to the Samsung call center which is impossible to get thru to. 8 days later the engineers finally come and say there is a leak and the gas will have to be refilled. This is exactly why the unit was taken away.....could they or could they not fix the problem. Anyways it works beautifully for 8 days and then again exactly 7 days ago it conks out again. Starts icing up yet again. We have gone insane calling up your service centre and giving complaints to fix it. Each and every morning and evening this remains our only job since it is so hot and the reason why we spend so much on buying an a/c is so that we can keep cool and work happily. Well till today evening there is no sign or sight of anyone coming and taking a look at our problem let alone fixing it. I am so disappointed with your service and the attitude you have these days to loyal customers. I will never again speak loudly about "THE SAMSUNG EXPERIENCE" as it is one that shall give me nightmares for the rest of my life. I have nothing else to say besides please, please could someone come and take a look at our a/c and fix it so that this doesnt remain the thing of utmost importance in my life any more.

If you can copy and past your message to the Samsung web site it might get some results. The side you are on is not affiliated with any company. Here's a link.

Lights flicker or dim when 1 ton split a/c outdoor unit compresser starts & click sound appears from double booster or in MCB . ( BUT NOT DRIPPING )

Samsung units won't operate properly below 190 volts and over 230 volts. You need a transformer similar to what they use in marinas. In Mexico they use step up transformers on appliances because of voltage drops in the evening until the electric company winds up the supply.

Hi, I have to replace the capacitor (35 +2 microfarad) for my LG 1 ton, split Air Conditioner. The LG service guys had told that this model is nomore available with them. They tried some alternatives,...

Are you sure the capacitor is faulty? You can go up in U,F's but not down and if it is the capacitor it will work. For instance, you can use a 40x5. The larger number is to start the compressor ad the lower is for the outdoor fan motor. I know nothing of India, but if you have any appliance parts houses, they will have them, or can order one for you. A capacitor for that unit should be easy to find if you have parts places for appliance's there. Good Luck, and keep me posted. You can order on on the Internet from the States also. They are inexpensive, the shipping charges may cost the most. Have it checked out to make sure is is faulty. If it is swollen or deformed, or leaking oil, its bad. If not, take it to a repair place for appliance parts and check it for dead shorts or open windings..

Liner in slow cooker has a crack

Get it replaced, do not use it. I did and mine split and sprayed all over the kitchen. To get a new one is easy. Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.

Wiring standard for Split AC 1.5 Ton

The factor that you have not included here is the distance from the power panel to the unit...if it is too far then you need to up gauge the wire to compensate for that... that could be why the electrician wanted to go to the 720 ga. wire.
