Why does my transducer not get a return when its deeper than 150 mts?how much amps does it need to operate in deep water?

Normally a new clean faced 1 KW thru-hull transducer works to 3,000 feet ( 914 meters).
Maybe the impedance of the transducer and electronics driving it do not match.
Connecting cable too long?
Poor connections. Look at plug pins to see if any are bent.

I can't get my charge chord back into the reader. I used it once and charged it to get it going. However,I tried to charge it this morning and the cord won't go in

Maybe the connection pins are broken.
If you brought it brand new as you say, just take it back to the company you brought it from for an exchange.

Good Luck!

Hey, I brought my Fender 212R back frm a gig the other day and when i turned it on last night the reverb was dead, simply not working at all. I checked the back of the tank and its plugs were firmly...

Your amp uses a "reverb tank" that has two or three springs that are suspended. One end of these springs are driven by a transducer and the other end the vibrations are picked off with another transducer. If you dropped the unit, possibly the two cables that go to this tank on the bottom of the cabinet have come loose. other possibilities are the transducers have been damaged... or one of the cables has broken or the electronics that drives this and receives the return has broken. If you are not electronically adept, the only DIY is to check that the cables that plug into the reverb tank at the bottom of the cabinet are connected. The tank is often covered with black cloth like plastic and the cable have RCA type plugs that plug into it.

The plug in to the M68 is crumbling away. now will not power up.

Mine is having the same issue. I wrapped it with electrical tap around the outside to hold the pins inplace temporarily. Anyone know if you can buy just the plug or do you have to buy a whole new transducer?

Water temp is not working can that be fixed?

Double check you have a good connection from the transducer data cable to the back of the display unit and that the pins are not corroded or anything similar. If the temp has never worked at all, it may be because the transducer you are using doesnt have a temperature sensor onboard and you will need to get one that does have this feature. If it did work previously and you checked the pins/connection (as per above) then the transducer is faulty or has developed a fault. There is no real easy fix and it will most likely be far cheaper just to buy a new transducer than to have the current one repaired by Eagle. I think new trasnducers are about $60-$70.

Hi, I have a humminbird wide one deep m, it came with the boat I recently brought. The first two trips out fishing it worked fine, then for some reason it just stopped working. Why would it do this? Much...

the base that the unit plugs into has a plug in for the transducer and one for the power. make sure that the power plug is pushed in far enough on the mount so the unit gets power. then tighten up the screw that holds the two in place.

Navman 4500 fish finder w/transom mount transducer

I finally got an email reply from Navman. If the unit is less than two years old (mine is not) they will repair it. If it is over two years old, or if you can't prove that it is less than two years old, you can ship it to them and they will repair it for the low, low price of 355 US dollars.

Pretty nice of them since it appears these units are highly problematic isn't it? I am wondering if they guarantee their fix, or just have you on the hook for another 355 dollars later.

Good Luck Everyone,

Walt
