Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is malfunctioning that is why the display is now fuzzy, This is a sign that the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

You need to test the DVI port and use the DVI-VGA adapter if your computer does not have a DVI port.

Fuzzy display on LCD and External Monitor

it sounds like you may have an updated driver that doesn't work with your machine. boot into SAFE mode. on a dell it is hitting the Del button for most of them as it is booting up. then choose safe mode. For other dells it is F1 or F2 you just keep hitting the button while its booting up until you hear it start to beep at you. then look for safe mode. while in safe mode you can then change the driver, but for those specifics you have to go to dells web site. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/quicktest?c=us&l=en&~ck=mn

Monitor lcd acer al2016w 20" letters and image are fuzzy,,why?

I also have an Asrock motherboard (M266A) and have the AL2216W. The image and text is also fuzzy. I did improve it a by by unplugging/replugging all of the connectors on the back of the computer. I believe my mouse had a somewhat loose connection and this was causing interference. I can actually create interference on screen by moving my mouse up and down.
These Acer monitors seem to be very sensitive. I also tried this monitor on a old Desktop with Win98 and another new laptop with XP and it looks good on those computers, but not on my Asrock based system.

Try your monitor on a different computer and see if you get the same result, if not, there is a problem with your pc operating system and or video card. If you get the same result, get a new lcd if it is not under warranty.

Acer Monitor Display of text and image is not sharp

This might seem obvious, but is your video card output set to the native resolution on the monitor? If not, it will look fuzzy. Try 1680x1050, if you don't know the monitors native resolution.
No need to use anything higher than a 60hz refresh rate either.

Kogi Monitor with fuzzy text

Here is one small solution. goto start: -> control panel -> display click on the "appearance" tab. then click on "effects" check the box that says: Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts (and make sure to choose "cleartype") You should notice the fonts are a little sharper as well as having a backdrop.
